Recap: The Modern Meal Blogger Instagram Takeover

Do you follow us on Instagram? If not, you should – not only for the exclusive behind-the-scenes Ancient Harvest footage and mouthwatering recipes, but also because we occasionally host exciting events featuring some of our favorite food bloggers.

While hosting our recent Modern Meal Cook-Off on Facebook, we invited each of the participating food bloggers to take over our Instagram account for a day. They did, and the results were incredible – full of beautiful and colorful photos, tempting recipes, and tips for eating well and staying healthy throughout the holiday season and beyond.

Just in case you missed it, here were some of the highlights:

First, Brittany of Eating Bird Food took the reins to give us a glimpse into her life – and her kitchen. We especially love this recipe she posted for Gluten-Free Quinoa Stuffing:

Lauren Kelly of Lauren Kelly Nutrition then took over, giving us gorgeous how-to’s for everything from a light beet salad to this Healthy Pumpkin Fudge:

Amy The Family Chef, true to her name, served up some fantastic tips for how to get your children involved in the cooking process – like asking them to stir cake batter, or assemble a salad.

Then, Lee from Fit Foodie Finds filled our Instagram feed with footage from her kitchen – with an emphasis on holiday-ready casseroles and one pot meals, like this nutritious and delicious Sun Dried Tomato, Kale and Chicken Sausage Quinoa Bake:

The finale was Julia from The Roasted Root, showing us what she does best. Her close-up shots of fall fruits and veggies made us hungry for seasonal treats like these beautiful Maple Roasted Butternut Squash and Beets:
