Many of Ancient Harvest’s plant-based, ancient grain products are now Non-GMO Project Verified
Boulder, Colo. – (Sept. 14, 2015) – Ancient Harvest, the first brand to bring quinoa to the U.S. more than 30 years ago announced that many of its gluten-free ancient grain products are now Non-GMO Project Verified. To earn verification, products must be produced in compliance with the Non-GMO Project Standards – this means ongoing testing for all major GMO risk ingredients, facility inspections and an annual audit to ensure the highest possible standards for GMO avoidance are met.
“At Ancient Harvest, we believe our customers have a right to know what ingredients are in their food, and we’re proud to display the Non-GMO Project seal on our products,” said Jennifer Stolte, vice president of marketing at Ancient Harvest. “We’re already using the butterfly seal to identify our verified products online, and we’re currently updating our packaging to give our fans confidence about knowing exactly what is – and isn’t – in the products they’re choosing.”
