  • 2 ½ cups Ancient Harvest Quinoa Flakes
  • ½ cup millet
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup chopped dates
  • ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • ½ cup creamy nut butter
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • dash sea salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a ceramic or glass 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large, dry saucepan, toast the raw millet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until it turns golden brown and the grains become fragrant (a bit like popcorn).
  3. Place all ingredients in a large bowl, stirring to combine evenly.
  4. Press mixture down into prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until edges are beginning to brown.
  6. If desired, drizzle with melted chocolate.
  7. Let cool slightly and cut into bars.
