Like many holidays, Halloween has become synonymous with sweet, themed treats – and you don’t have to wait for trick-or-treating to indulge. Here are some of our favorite recipes for gluten-free Halloween treats that you can easily make as soon as inspiration strikes:

Halloween Cupcake Mummies & Ghosts, Gluten Free on a Shoestring

Less scary and more tasty, these adorable mummies and ghosts top delicious gluten-free milk chocolate cupcakes (some baked in canning jars, some in a standard cupcake tin) layered with thick, creamy frosting. They’d make the perfect finale to a Halloween-themed dinner party.

Pumpkin Crème Bars, My Whole Food Life

Just as delicious as any store-bought candy bar, these pumpkin crème bars forgo the corn syrup and butter for more nutritious ingredients. They’ve got raw pecans, Medjool dates, real pumpkin purée and coconut milk as well as chocolate and spices. Not only are they gluten-free, but they’re vegan as well.

Green Monster Rice Cereal Treats, Fork and Beans

A wonderful standby for gluten-free folks everywhere, rice cereal treats are a naturally gluten-free dessert. Here, they get a seasonal makeover and are perfect dressed in costume (in the form of green, ghoulish monsters) for Halloween.

Pumpkin Chip Oatmeal Sandwich Cookies, Life Made Sweeter

Soft, chewy and bursting with seasonal pumpkin flavor, these oatmeal cookie sandwiches are a pumpkin lover’s dream come true: They feature a spiced pumpkin cookie base, pumpkin spice chips, and pumpkin frosting ­– all gluten-free, of course.

Gluten-Free Halloween Pumpkin Sugar Cookies, Gluten Free on a Shoestring

A seasonal take on a perennial favorite, these pumpkin cookies feature cute googly-type eyes made of frosting – but feel free to mix it up and create your own sweet or scary look. You could also add a Jack-o’-lantern mouth, if you have the time and inclination.

Banana Monster Pops, Fork and Beans

Gluten-free, vegan and extremely kid-friendly, these banana monster pops are as fun to eat as they are to make. You could even set up stations (with the lollipop sticks, melted chocolate and toppings ready to go) and have your guests make their own delicious treat.
